Default EOTN 5 Hours

Is there actually anything useful to do in that 5 hours and no I'm not talking about just checking out the game and then buying it.

Well, I'd say get your heroes, if you don't got any already. Also, maybe do a few neat things that are fun. Don't worry abotu storyline unless you want heroes, maybe do some rep farming

once the 5 hours is up you can't use your heroes until you buy the full game.

Anet gave the 5 hour trial for people to try Gwen out but get far enough into the game that when 5 hours is up they still want to play, thus going out and buying the game.

Wow...what an evil marketing ploy.

But you should be able to go to EotN, get the heroes and then come back to the other chapters and use them and not count towards the five hours.....right?

No. The 5 hour clock is ticking whenever you're logged in. Even if you're in Cantha or Elona. It doesn't matter.

The only things that stay after 5 hours are
1) Armor. Pretty much impossible to get since you need to get r5 in the titles in that time. You can get stuff like the Norn Tournament crown though.
2) Pets. Polar bears, mountain eagles, etc.
3) Zho's Journal. Get your mini moa without even buying GW:EN.
4) Items. Of course, you could always buy stuff off other players if there is something you really want. But if you find something really rare/sweet in those 5 hours its still yours.
5) Titles.

The stuff that does NOT carry over are..
1) skills
2) heroes
